Will my citizenship be revoked if I fail AIT after basic training?

I enlisted in US Army Reserve through MAVNI program (which allows enlist of DACA people). I got my citizenship during the basic training and now I am failing two AIT courses. So I guess Army will discharge/separate me. If this is the case, what type of discharge will I receive and how it will affect on my citizenship?? If it will revoke my citizenship, is their any way to upgrade my discharge and protect my citizenship? I have been keeping a clean record since I was a DACA person.

In general your NATZ may be revoked if you receive a dishonorable discharge. The exception is if you have 5 years of service prior to the discharge. Other general rules apply; If it is found that you committed fraud to obtain your status or deliberately failed the courses your NATZ may be revoked. For specific application of the law to your situation I suggest you speak with a Judge Advocate on base.

That is a complicated issue. It depends on whether it seems that you deliberately failed the courses, if fraud is suspected, if you get a dishonorable discharge. The type of discharge depends on the army and cannot be answered by immigration attorneys.

You can obtain guidance from the military as to the specific rules that may jeopardize your naturalization. Good luck to you.
