Child support is based on several factors in Virginia. These are your income, the mother's income, if there are any other dependent children, the cost of work-related daycare and health insurance. In order to determine guideline support, these factors would have to be taken into consideration. Without this information, an amount cannot be determined. I would advising consulting with an attorney to discuss the specific facts of your case and how they relate to Virginia Child Support guidelines.

The total child support obligation, between the two parents, is based on their combined income, healthcare costs, and childcare costs. But, how much of that you would have to pay is based on the percentage of the combined income that you make. For example, if you make the same as the other parent, you'd make 50% of the combined income so you'd have to pay 50% of the total obligation. If you don't have any income, and it doesn't sound like you do, then your percentage of the combined support obligation is zero. But there is a minimum payment of $65 per month, and the court can consider favors outside the guidelines. So I'd say at least $65 per month.
