Can I get kicked out of college for a drug possession arrest? I was not convicted?

I start college in a couple days. I was arrested at the end of June for a drug possession misdemeanor. But I was not convicted for it. Will the college care about this drug arrest, or do they only care if it was a conviction? I know they can't find out unless they do another background check, but I am just wondering because the drug arrest won't be expunged for another 4 months

I hope this has taught you a lesson stay off of drugs unfortunately all they can do is get you in trouble and ruin your future for a momentary high. At times it may seem like everyone is doing them but if your goal is to go to college and excel in life then you must excel above everyone else and that means not following and being better. By the way yuou likely can petition in 4 months ( if a CD, if completely dismissed you can petiton immediately) but it takes 6 more months after petition to take the entries down. Most college policies would give them broad leeway to do this (and if it was on campus, almost certainly they can).
