Waited 1 year after initial interview. I am scheduled for a new biometrics. Will the whole process restart with I-485? Thanks

My wife petitioned for me and we went through all the stages. My initial interview was in August 2014. After I received RFE to renew medical; I mailed them as requested in March 2015. Since then there was no activity on my case.I called USCIS customer service 2 times and went to info pass 2 times since then. On my last info pass officer at the window told me that my case was reassigned to a different officer and we should wait for an answer. On August 29 I got an email alert that I am scheduled for a new biometrics, waiting for notice to arrivel. I knew that my fingerprints would expire in summer 2014 but I was hoping that I'd get my green card before it expires. My question is will I be called for another interview after that, or is it just a routine to be fingerprinted again? Thanks.
