I'm serving 120 days at the Livingston county jail. After good time and time off for being a trustee, I'm to be released on Sept. 16th instead of the26. On Wednesday the 2nd an ambulance picked me up from jail to be admitted to St Joes hospital in Howell, Mi. The judge released me from jail with the understanding that if I'm released on or after the 16th I'm finished with jail. Before that I'm to return to jail to finish my time. My health is very unstable even after discharge. How do I see about possibly being done no matter when I'm released from hospital? I have maybe 2 days to figure this out. Please help

Someone, presumably a lawyer, would have to file a motion with the court to modify your sentence and have a hearing on it (unless the court grants the motion without a hearing which would probable require the prosecutor's consent).,

The quickest way to address that issue is to contact the attorney who represented you in the underlying case. Otherwise, consult with an experienced MICHIGAN Criminal Defense Attorney who can make the appropriate inquiries, and if necessary file the appropriate court motion to make sure all of your rights are protected.
