Please don't tell me "contact a lawyer" because I already have. The problem isn't whether I have a case. The lawyer I want to

hire told me I have a very good case. The problem is how to pay for it. I am a trust beneficiary and the trustee is deliberately breaking the law, refusing a distribution which several lawyers have told me is mandatory but it isn't worthwhile for the lawyer to work on contingency. I am not wealthy. Is there any way to charge this expense to the trust?

The lawyer you consult will tell you if there is any way part of his fees can be contingent. Obviously, if you lose, you can't charge any of his fees to the trust, so don't hire a lawyer if you can't afford to lose. The lawyer you consult will or should be able to tell you if there is any way to charge part of the fees to the defendant if you win. But the "trust"? Probably not, because other innocent trust beneficiaries would have to pay for the error of the trustee, which would not be fair to them. Perhaps the trustee, but he would have to be acting in bad faith for that to happen. Probably no one will pay your legal bill.
