How long does k3 visa take from the time of filing till we reach US?

i am a doctor from hyderabad,got married to a us citizen in india.they will file for i130 after returning back in july 2010.i need to be in US before july 13 2011 or else i will be late for my residency match. Q1.i want to know if they should also file for k3 visa so that i can get into US faster? Q2.does k3 visa take less time or equal to immigration petition?if less then how much time?. Q3.if they file for k3 visa then will the i130 be delayed bcoz of that or are they both independant?

It is prudent to seek the services of an immigration lawyer for your case. There are requirements for each of the petitions you are seeking. The I-130 had to be filed both for the K-3 and IV processes. You need to be familiar with the requirements for both and make your plans accordingly without an attempt to circumvent normal visa application procedures.
