If my driving privilege is revoked in NY while I have a MI license, will I be able to get a NJ license?

I currently have a MI license but live in NYC. My driving privilege in NY may be revoked. In a few months we are moving to NJ. Since NY & MI don't report violations to each other; but NY & NJ do. When I show my MI license to get a NJ license; would NJ know that my NY driving privilege is suspended? (My SSN is not registered with NY DMV). The only reason I would pay the driver responsibility fee in NY is if NJ is going to refuse to issue me a license because of it.

Maybe not, but I fail to understand why you would purposefully put yourself in a situation in which you risk arrest, incarceration, and a criminal record, by driving in New York .

You may want to contact the NJ DMV before attempting to apply, some states utilize the "national driver register" a database of information about drivers who have had their licenses revoked or suspended, or who have been convicted of serious traffic violations...
