I slipped on water and cleaning solution while shopping at a store. There were no indications of any sort that the floor was or may be wet. An employee of the store Was cleaning or washing something nearby and I guess the water pooled into the aisle. I slipped in it. The nearby employee who was cleaning tried to help me up but it hurt so my fiancé called 911/ ambulances who took me to nearby hospital. My back is still in pain.

We are not allowed to solicit cases on this website. Instead, I can tell you to utilize the Find A Lawyer tab on the top of the page to look for a good attorney! Slip and fall cases are not easy to win!

If you have pictures and/or witnesses, your claim would seem legitimate and the big issue is how much financial and bodily damage it caused you.

Get a free consult with a local injury lawyer. If there were no wet floor signs, and employee was not being careful to prevent water from spreading, you have a case. get all needed treatment. Don't talk to the store reps until you have spoken with an atty.

If you haven't already, you should file an incident report with the store. Also, seek medical treatment for your back and follow doctor's orders. If you took pictures of the scene, great. After filing your incident report with the store, don't speak with a store rep or anyone who may contact you from the store (this could he someone from the store's insurance, too). Then consult a local, reputable personal injury attorney who will be able to discuss your options with you. You can also find an attorney through 's Find A Lawyer link or you can check out the Consumer Attorneys of California website. Personal injury attorneys work on a contingency basis, which means there will be no upfront costs to you. Good luck and feel better.

Premises liability cases can be difficult as you need to show the condition is "dangerous" and that the landowner "knew or should have known" about the condition. Also, comparative fault can be an issue as the defense will argue you should have seen or appreciated the condition. There are several ways to find a personal injury attorney online and via referrals. Good luck!

As you describe the facts, I see you having a strong case for negligence against the store. I hope that they apologized, cleaned up the floor, and changed their policy to make sure that it doesn't happen again. It is important that you speak with a lawyer soon so they can help you navigate the insurance company and medical treatment hoops that follow these types of incidents.

You need a premises liability lawyer. It shouldn't be that tough to find one in your area. All the best.
