Had to serve defendant with substituted service. Discovery questions.

Does this affect the 30 days to file an answer? Does this still allow me to propound discovery 10 days after service? Finally does this affect the right to serve a deposition notice within 20 days after service? Also how much notice do I have to give after I notice someone for deposition to the date of deposition. Thank for any advice.

All the dates you mention would be extended as a result of the substitute service. When using that method of service, service is not complete until 10 days after mailing a copy of the documents that were served. All the other dates would be extended accordingly.
