I have a car with payment. Then i can not effort it anymore, so i return it to the bank, and the bank took them. But huge problem is i did not take off the plate, Now the car was sold to other company ( i have the document from the bank that admitted the car was sold to other) The new owner was driving in Califonia, got the toll road ticket and sent to me. Plus, the DMV also sent me the notice that i do not have the insurance on that car, But, look , i am no longer driving that car. Someone else does !! It really pissed me off, made me upset. Can you help me out what should i do? I hope the guy who is driving it know what he is doing?

If you go to the county tax office where they issue car registrations they can help you with how to resolve this problem. You aren't the first person this has happened to. They can tell you what steps to take to get your name removed from association with that vehicle. Once you do that and have documentation, you can send copies of that documentation to any agency that contacts you regarding violations.

I agree with the answer that precedes mine. Unfortunately and frustratingly you must do the leg work and get proof that the car was sold prior to any related infractions or tolls. This is when the law is exceedingly unfair - but get the proof and submit it timely to the proper agencies.
