Do I have an actual case against AT&T and Coserv?

I'm a nanny & while leaving work I tripped over underground wires. They're from AT&T & Coserv. The wires are supposed to be buried, but have been above ground since February. They haven't buried them yet & while walking to my car I tripped on them. I was about walk over the curb & next thing I know I flew in the air & landed hard. It knocked the wind out of me and I was dizzy & nauseated while extremely slowly trying to get up. I had to go because I had to get my car out of the shop before it closed. Skin was embedded in my pants bc my right knee was severely skinned & crapped. The ac hitting my hands, burned. Its been over a weeks but I still have pains that constantly hurt while I work, drive, walk or sit. Been told to see about going after the companies. Should or can I do something?

If your injuries are substantial enough you should have a viable case against the company that failed to bury the phone lines.

You did not indicate if the wires were on private or public property. In addition, you did indicated whether or not there were any cones or signs regarding the wires. The fact that you apparently had knowledge of the line exposure since February may present some issues. You should contact a local personal injury lawyer to discuss the circumstances of the case and any injuries that were sustained.

Several issues you raise are in favor of a case and in disfavor of a case. Absolutely get appropriate medical treatment asap, absolutely contact local/qualified counsel asap, absolutely take photographs of the area and yourself. Good luck.

These cases are sometimes viable. Call a personal injury lawyer to discuss the details.
