Can I get reimbursed?

Came home from work at 11pm on Friday. Had a key, but couldn't open a door. (Seemed it was locked from inside just enough so door wouldn't open. It's not an automatic lock. It's the one u need to turn on insid,So I had to open it all the way in oder to leave apartment). CAll an office an got a respond that is not an emergency and I should go spend a night at the friends, and door will be repaired (as a not emergency, so won't be a priority plus it's a weekend) since I had to work in the morning, after hours of trying to get in, I called a professional company to open the door. Bill was 235$ Nxt day I went to the office and they said my actions were wrong and I needed to find a place to stay, and we're reluctant to fix the door by installing a new locK. Lived for3 yrs.

Try sending a written demand letter by certified mail. If that does not work then you can sue in JP Court.

I basically agree with Mr. von Dohlen's response to your post. However, you should review your lease agreement to see if it covers procedures for being locked out or emergencies such as yours. Seems unreasonable that they did not have a onsite person/manager to assist with this. Good luck!
