My wife and I are going to get a divorce, but we would like to keep the house as "partner"/tenant?

My wife and I are going to get a divorce, is there a way to change the house title from "husband & wife......" to "tenancy in common" or other term to separate the property interest? What is the best out there when separating house interest without complicating situation such as tax, lenders, etc? We just want to sign the divorce paper & change the house title. We have no kids, been married less than 5 years.

Yes there is a way to do this but it isn't just a matter of changing the title. The judgment should be specific about the value each is taking and the responsibility for liabilities, any remedies in case one party wants to be taken off title in the future, etc. You need to get help form a skilled attorney if for just this one issue.

If the agreement you reached is specific enough and is entered into a judgment by the court, I do not believe that it would be hard to just change the title pursuant to the judgment terms.

What about transferring title via Grant Deed?

Don't do this until you understand all the tax ramifications, and mortgage, etc. Yes, it will "complicate " all those things.
