Which discovery tools are effective and any few or all are necessary to substantiate a claim? Can reduce the costs too.

In a federal civil trial, there are various persons (both parties and non-parties to the lawsuit) may be needed to answer discovery requests. Does all the discovery tools have to be used? (like 1. interrogatories, 2,admissions, 3.production of documents, 4.depositions) or just steps 1,2,3 alone is enough since they produce enough evidence/supporting documents for the claim. Assuming that the 1,2,3 can be given/prepared by the party receiving the request on their own without any intervention/supervision of any one (except the notary or authorized person). But deposition will require a court reporter/attorney/venue etc? 1.2, 3 alone is enough of all the 4 is necessary?

Depends entirely on the case, depends on the individual who is presenting the case, depends on who the other parties are, depends on the case facts, in short everything turns on factors we could not possibly know online. You didn't ask but I will add: if you're in federal court representing yourself and you face an attorney representing the other side the chances of your winning are about as close to zero as possible, no matter your facts. Please consult an attorney before your case gets any farther. I would hate to see you be another statistic. Your post suggests to me that you are looking to do the least you possibly can and still prevail, that is not the approach any attorney I know will take.

Thats a loaded question no one can answer until you are in the case. Its a guess. Normally you do all of them. Pro Se federal lawsuits will get you hurt.

Your questions are beyond the scope of this general Q&A forum. If you are pro se in federal court, you are are unlikely to prevail. At least consult with a lawyer..
