I was assaulted at a hotel by a security officer, from a 3rd party company to the hotel. How can I press charges?

The hotel and security company have refused to provide the name of the security officer, protecting him. He ripped off my wristband and forcibly made me leave, all because he thought I was sleeping when I was sitting down at our table. I now have bruises, cuts and loss of feeling in one hand. What should I do about this?

Report this to the San Diego Police Department. See if there are witnesses and video to corroborate your take on the events. Consult a lawyer for assessment of a civil claim.

Make a police report and contact local personal injury counsel after seeing a physician if injuries warrant.

Report the matter to law enforcement and hopefully they will agree to investigate the matter. Hopefully there are security cameras that caught the matter on video. Witnesses would help too. The investigation would determine the value of any civil case for compensation.

Report to the police and file a lawsuit if you feel your injuries are serious enough to warrant it. Or, otherwise, move on with life.
