Do I need a criminal defense lawyer?

I'm on felony probation, & I get drug tested every time I see my probation officer. Do I have the right to see the results of my drug screen when my probation officer gets it back from the lab?

Your specimen rarely gets sent to lab. Only sent to lab if instant test shows positive. Toy will be able to see it IF they file to revoke you based on that.

The result is the result. In those instances where a lab is used, you will either see the report at some point if you tested hot. Most testing is not sent to labs except when necessary to confirm a positive reading.

I don't understand your question(s). First, you ask "do I need a criminal defense attorney?" Then you ask about your "right" to see results of your drug screen? What exactly would you like to know in San Antonio?

It sounds like you are concerned that you will test positive; if that is the case, then yes you need an attorney because at any point in time the probation officer can do an affidavit and request a warrant. It would be better to be prepared, so that you can make an informed decision about the next steps and possibly work out a modification prior to even getting to a warrant.
