A kidney stone removal by a urologist. Is he liable for his misconduct?

I had a kidney stone before Dec. 2014, and referred to a Urologist by the PCP. After visited the urologist, he made a appointment with me for the stone removal procedure. And he didn't tell me further about the procedure. The procedure in an outpatient one usually takes 45 minutes. But this doc, had taken more than two hours and failed to take the stone out but left the stent in. Which had made me extremely painful and big mental stress and bleeding for the first two weeks and then painful for 11 months. Until yesterday another urologist used shock wave to break my stone. There was no pain and feels good. I then realized the first urologist purposely used a no good method for taking out the stone but he failed.

You need to talk to a medical malpractice lawyer in your area right away. A lot of time has gone by since your surgery and many states have very short statutes of limitations on medical malpractice cases. You must not delay in talking to a lawyer.
