Denied unemployment and need to know the next step in my final appeal after filing with the local general district court.

Terminated from US Government job in June, 2014.. Filed for Virginia unemployment and was denied benefits because unemployment office stated it was misconduct, even though my supervisor, who terminated me, said it was not misconduct. I have been through every level of appeal at Virginia unemployment and my last step was to file in the Frederick County, VA. courthouse where I worked. I did that in April, was told by court clerks that the judge would decide to hold a trial or make a decision on his own. As of this writing (November 2015) the judge has done neither and now the court clerk tells me that I have to do something to make this happen, but they say they can't give advice, and I have no idea how to go about this and cannot afford an attorney. Please help.

Unless the VEC made an error of law, NOT of fact, there is probably little you can do to get the case remanded or reversed. I would suggest that you contact your local legal services offices for review of your claim and POSSIBLE assistance.
