I am a board member for a not-for-profit youth program we have been accused of stealing from the program(false) they have publicly and on social media made accusations, they asked for financials and I have given what is required by Florida statue 617 they still are requesting more, but that is not as far as it has gone they have threatened with news media and have attacked my personal character and it is also affecting my 12 son they have made false statements (that my house is in foreclosure, I'v bought a new car, and that the have proof I stole from league) (no proof exists) This also effects the program. which relies on volunteers and community support financially

Yes, but as a lawyer that handles such cases, I can assure you that you cannot do this without a lawyer. Second, if its not worth spending the money on a lawyer to address such an issue with litigation, and it is NOT inexpensive, then you need to find another means of resolution. Unfortunately MOST people tend to think with emotion and ego in resolving such controversies, file lawsuits pro-se, and then make a BIGGER mess than they already have.
