We are looking for Contingency lawyer for Foreclosure Defense. We will provide proofs of wrongful foreclosure. It is about 3 weeks from now to Sheriff Sale scheduled. Do we need to file Adversary Proceeding Chapter 13; Or Just file a Wrongful Foreclosure Complaint is sufficient?. Any reasonable Attorney ( or Paralegal Service ) Fees are also appreciated.
Why did you wait so long? I don't know any attorneys that do foreclosure defense on a contingency basis. At this point, it may be easier to file bankruptcy. Undoing what has already happened since the beginning of the foreclosure is an uphill battle that requires MUCH more than just filing an answer. Best of luck
I don't believe that it would be ethical to take a contingency payment on a foreclosure defense. Additionally, what recovery are you expecting that an attorney would be entitled to take a contingency against?
In the event you are referring to a Law Division action to recover the damages that you allege were caused by the foreclosure, I believe this would be a consumer fraud action. This may be something an attorney would take on contingency.
If you hope to stop the Sheriff's Sale, you must file bankruptcy prior to the sale. I would suggest retaining an attorney to deal with the foreclosure action as soon as possible.

Lawyers can't solicit your business in this manner so you should not be getting anyone responding to this question saying, Hire Me. Instead, you would need to contact various lawyers about hiring them. You can look them here on or other places as well. Contingency fees are usually used where you are likely to recover money so I doubt you can get a contingency arrangement in this field.
I concur with the recommendations of my distinguished colleagues. What you are seeking is ethically precluded. Let me also make something else clear to you. The lenders all have their own attorneys. They will NOT take anyone seriously who is not an experienced mortgage foreclosure defense attorney. Paralegals are NOT licensed to practice law. In addition, most of what you may have been mislead to believe is a defense to foreclosure by listening to the mass media or "Dr. Google" is not reality. No one in this forum is going to give you a course in how to represent yourself. Good luck.
Foreclosure is not one of those things that is defended on contingency. In fact, defense is almost never contingency because you are not winning a percentage of anything. You are defending someone else taking your client's money. No more than a doctor is not paid if your disease is not cured.
