EAD and new EAD based on I-485

I have already applied for EAD renewal, which was valid for one last time. Now I am applying for adjustment of status based on marriage, so what happens now, do I need to apply for EAD with I-485 too, and if yes, how long is the validity...

The adjustment EAD is valid for 12 months. You save nothing by not including it (there is a flat fee for adjustment). And if you plan to use the advance parole feature - the I-131 - that is implemented through a "combo card" with the EAD card.

As my colleague, Mr. Bartlett points out, it costs you nothing to apply for a new EAD with a Form I-765, filed simultaneously with your spouse's I-130 Immigrant Petition on your behalf, and your I-485 Application. So, you are advised to do it. You will receive a new EAD card about 80 to 90 days after the date you file the petition and applications. Your new EAD card will be valid for one year.

You have not mentioned the bases of you current EAD? If a different category than based-on-marriage petition, apply in the correct category based on current petition.
