Estimate for Michigan attorney to write letter to State Dept of Revenue about business (individual) based on my research

Requesting feasibility estimate for my very small business. There is a individual in Michigan that openly advertises "headquartered in xxx, Michigan" that has not been in good standing for almost a decade. My evidence indicates he has a substantial income derived from the claim to the LLC. Would my civilian letter to the Michigan Dept of Revenue carry less weight than if it is from a Michigan Attorney? I can provide government documents, internet claims, internet advertisement, USPTO transfer for an IP (and internet domain probably worth $250,000) and other documents. It might resemble: Michigan file AG No. 2006001745 The Attorney will make the written (introduction) claim to the Revenue Dept on my behalf. There is no intent for any reward, just to bring up potential tax fraud.

Honestly, I don't see the need for you to hire an attorney at all. Assuming that he or she would be providing no meaningful legal representation, you would just waste your money. Go ahead and send your notice with all of the information you have available to 3 different MI governmental entities (each of which letter should be sent by certified mail, return receipt): (i) the Attorney General; (ii) the Secretary of State - Corporations Division; and, (iii) the state Treasurer. They may or may not respond, but at least you have completed your civic duty. Best of luck.
