Can these sections be left alone or is there something there that I need to fill out?

I'm filling out the defendant's answer to Petition for Divorce and I have a few questions that I'm not understanding 100%. Section 3, Specific Please Made Under Penalty of Perjury and Section 4 Affirmative Defenses.

There are a million different forms. There is no one size fits all. Hire an attorney. It gets harder.

There's no substitute for an in-person meeting with an attorney for this one. A little money now can save you a lot later.

It only gets more difficult going forward. You should retain counsel to advise and assist you. There are many attorneys in your area who have posted a profile here on and who would welcome the opportunity to assist you. However, you must reach out to them (contact info available on each attorney’s profile) as attorneys are not allowed to directly solicit your business. All the best!

If you don't understand it means you need a lawyer. Don't sign anything you don't fully understand 100%.
