My question is regarding liability if someone gets hurt when visiting a home listed by an agent.

I contacted the listing agent of a property that we were interested in last week. There were about 5 flights of stairs leading up to the front door. The stone stairs were also very rough and bumpy, and there was no hand rail. I wish I would have known not to wear boots with heels, but I did not and when leaving I had a pretty nasty fall. I was happy that the swelling is going down but now my knee and lower leg is throbbing. Last night I could not even sleep due to the pain. I have not yet gone to the doctor b/c I figure they'll want to do an x-ray and I have yet meet my HUGE deductible. I think I will have to go though. Should the homeowner's insurance or realtor's insurance cover my medical costs? Can I just ask them or do I have to get an attorney involved?

Your question really relates to property and personal injury areas of the law -- i.e., who of various people is liable when someone is injured on someone else's property. This will depend on various factual issues, such as whether anyone was negligent or if the stairs were an obvious hazard requiring special care on your part. You would get more responses from attorneys knowledgeable on these subjects if you post this under those two subject areas.

Call some personal injury attorneys who handle premises liability.

You can certainly contact both the Realtor and Home Owner and request their insurance information. But, in all likelihood for anything to get done, you will need a PI attorney to help you.
