Correcting a typo on a petition

After fiiling custody petitions we noticed the respondents address was transposed (8541 should have been 8451) in all documents. All the documents were sent certified mail to the correct address. What process or procedure do you use to fix the respondents address?

This is more important than it seems at first blush because in a custody case, incorrect addresses on the Uniform Child Custody Jurisdiction and Enforcement Act Affidavit can affect the court's jurisdiction to hear the case. If no response has been filed, you can amend the papers without the court's permission. After a response is filed, you must have the court's permision (file motion to amend) or respondent's agreement (written, filed stipulation)to amend the papers. Hope this helps.
