Will the cancellation remove the judgment from court records? Is it too late to delete judgment from my credit report?

There is default judgment (approx $5700) on my credit report from May 2012. I satisfied the judgment in full in November 2014. I have a letter from the creditor indicating payment in full. In an effort to improve my credit score to refinance my home, I discovered that is in still on my credit report with no update. I check the status with the court clerk and discovered it is still active. The clerk stated I needed a cancellation request from the attorney or creditor. I called the attorney and he indicated that the creditor will take care of it and gave me a point of contact. I have been unable to get this person on the phone.

The judgment is likely to remain public record, and can be found if someone does a civil records background check on you in the future (as opposed to a criminal history check, but many background check vendors offer packages with both civil and criminal searches). As to your credit score, this will lower it in the short term, but after a few years of consistent payment of debts/obligations, your score will gradually rebound. Negative items can affect credit scores even after they are taken care of by the debtor.
