Can a lawyer help me trace an unknown threatening voice message that has greatly effected my life ?

I received a life threatening voice message from an unknown caller. I reported it to the police but they won't trace the call. I became ill a week after receiving the call and quit my job . This phone call greatly effected my life or I would have ignored it and waited to see if I received more calls as advised by the police.

I doubt that an attorney could help you trace a call; only the police can assist you.

It is very doubtful that a private practicing attorney would have the means to trace a call like this and I am sorry for what you are experiencing. These matters are generally handled by the police. If you were to discover who made the call, then a private attorney may be able to initiate action for your pain and suffering, but that requires more information that could not be discerned or discussed through this forum. However, as far as locating the source of the threats, you would be best served by notifying the police.
