I am involved in a Bit Torrent lawsuit. The attorney filed a suit on july 14 2015. I was only named as a doe. They got my info from my ISP. I have not been served a summons yet. I got an {extortion} letter dated december 16. I got the case info online that said the attorney filed a motion for voluntary dismissal on december 7, then filed for an extension on december 18, with a response due december 28. Western district court of Wisconsin Case no. 15-cv-00436. How can this case proceed when it is over 120 days since it was filed.

Hard to answer that kind of detailed question here. There is a lot of information on the internet about "copyright troll" lawsuits and you should probably read up first on the topic and then proceed to hire an intellectual property lawyer who understands what's involved with the technology and subject matter.
