How do I proceed with my case in my situation? How do I prove alienation with my son?

I am going through a contested divorce with my husband.DOS is 5/1/2014 My trial is 1/26/2016. I was forced to move back to MA from CA, due to my credit is poor. My soon to be husband has alienated my 13 year old son against me. My lawyer is not responding to me and pretty much said let me know what you settle on. She never answers my emails. She was great in the beginning, however stopped caring about my case since I moved to MA. I'm in panic mode because I want to settle out of court so I don't have to fly to CA. She won't respond to my husbands lawyer either. Also, my husbands lawyer said I need professional proof of alienation with my son. I can't even get near him to get that. All I have is texts that he hasn't responded to me. What do I do? HELP!!

Your lawyer needs to communicate with you. Maybe try to have her seek a continuance so you can negotiate further with the opposing party.

You need to call your attorney and have a talk with her and outline what you would like to do. Let her know you want to settle. If you are in settlement negotiations I believe you should be able to get another continuance.

You can't "settle" if you are accusing your husband of alienation; I would suggest reaching settlement on other issues and set up an appointment with a therapist to assist you in communicating with your son; joint therapy would be ideal but there is too much distance. You probably are playing a role in the mom-son relationship and you need to find out what it is.
