I'd there anyway that she would be able to get emancipated, or at least be able to move in legally without parental consent?

Well my friend is 17 years old and is pregnant with her 1st child. Her and the baby's father are together and plan to raise their baby at his grandmothers where he lives. But her mother will not allow it. She won't let her move in with him. My friend doesn't live with her mother but with her grandmother and great grandmother. Her mother has 2 children and really not enough room for a baby and her. The grandmother of the boyfriend has offered to help out when needed . Having her child's father in her baby's life is very important to her and she thinks it would be in the best interest to move in with her boyfriend.

Agreed, she will need to file for emancipation. One other option is dependent on how far from the age of 18 they both are. It would be best to seek legal counsel for this matter. If costs are a concern, you may be able to seek assistance through one of the Legal Aid clinics in your area.
