How can he cite me for a "speed/style" citation if he didn't see the accident?

I had a car accident involving a parked car (during winter). I turned into the smaller car with my pickup at a low speed while parking. It destroyed the plastic bumper of the smaller car. I called the police and when he arrived he remarked on how much damage the plastic bumper had. He cited me for "care required". I wasn't speeding, I was parking and he did not witness the accident.

The question is whether the ticket will be upheld. Consult with local/qualified traffic counsel. Report the incident to your insurance company. Added to your practice area for you.

Obviously I do not know how the statute actually reads. You cannot be cited for speeding based on damage to a bumper. I suspect the statute you were cited under states a little more than that. If you feel you were wrongly cited you need to challenge the citation. A lawyer who handles traffic violations would help your chances.
