Can H1B holder be a co-signer for banking business account?

I have a small question A person is on H1B visa and is working for a company A. Will it be considered as status violation if he is an assignee (co-signer) to do some operations in bank for another company, lets say company B? He is not an employee or partner of the company B and do not get any income from it. To be an assignee bank requires SSN. He needs to help company B to make some banking operations that are not possible to do online and that requires to be in person in their branch. Company B is registered in the US, but owner/management are abroad. Thank you.

If they are getting any income for their services, then it is a violation.

If the person is not getting any benefit, money or otherwise, then I don't see how making banking transactions for another company would be a violation of the person's H-1B status.

I agree with my colleagues. Contact a US immigration attorney to review the specific set-up in order to maintain H1B status.
