Can I get my $1500 back. Would that be under the lemon law?

I bought a car last year at tax time. I put $1500 down on it and 45 days later the transmission messed up because the 4 wheel drive got stuck in 4 low. I was told that they would finance another car for another $500 or $600 down. I was out of my $1500 and without a car again.

Much more information is needed to asses your issue. I'd consult a local consumer attorney who specializes in lemon law.

You should consult with a consumer protection attorney, however, the lemon law only applies to new vehicles. If you purchased a warranty then there may be other avenues of relief. Your best option is to take all your documents to an attorney that can review the purchase agreement and other documents to determine what, if any , avenues of relief you may have.
