Can I take the Airlines to court after two and the half years ? Do I still have the statue of limitations in my favor?

About two years and a half ago I was fired after 12 years working for Continental Airlines now United Airlines for reasons I believe was not right.... Now looking at Statue of Limitations ; can I still take the Airlines to court for wrongful termination after two and the half years? Thanks

Depends on the type of claim, it may already be too late, or you may still lhave a few months. See an employment law attorney in NJ IMMEDIATELY.

You should contact an attorney directly. As my above colleague stated, it depends on the particular cause of action as to whether or not the statute of limitations is up. I have had a client in a similar situation. Reach out to an attorney of your choice on avvo (or elsewhere) for a free consult on the matter.

Possibly. The statute of limitations is longer for contract claims than tort claims. It may depend on where the contract was entered into or performed. The fact that Continental Airlines merged into United will also have consequences. It's worth it to consult with a qualified and experienced employment attorney to see where you stand.
