Should I just stay put? What are my rights?

I moved on January 11, 2016 and paid $1,000 for a room in a 3 bedroom condo. Rent is 400 and the rest is for the deposit. I am subletting the room , signed a subletting lease and was told that she (tenant) would give it to landlord to sign and then I'd be given the signed lease agreement. I have yet to receive this despite asking many times. I have asked for landlords number without success and now, not even 2 months later the main tenants are moving. They told me they spent the $1,000 on personal things, never told the landlord. I paid March rent but was told 2 days ago by the main tenants that they are allowing their friend to move back into my room so I have to go. I asked for my rent back and they said they used it towards the rent in their new place without asking me. I feel like this wrong and could be theft by deception. I paid for rent for THIS place and I do not feel that it is right for them to use my money for their new place. I am being forced to move with them and I don’t want to. I am disabled, broke and scared. Please help

Yikes! That's a terrible situation to be in. Without a written lease between you and the homeowner, staying put could be risky; especially if the homeowner didn't receive your rent from the primary tenants. I would try to get a lease in place or find an alternative place to stay ASAP. As for the money lost, your best bet is going to be a small claims action. It wouldn't hurt to try to get the police to press charges for theft by deception, but they will likely tell you it is a civil matter.
