Is this a form of bulling or pushing or senior abuse? He is bipolar and schizophrenic and don't know how to handle him.

If an individual on a daily basis calls wanting me to take something for pain I do not feel comfortable with and have told him so repeatedly, I get very nervous and upset because he does it over and over trying to break me down to try it "for my own good". It is bicarbonate of soda. I am not supposed to use salt in any form and don't want to risk it. Have heart problems, high blood pressure, anxiety attacks. He never calls to talk about the weather or politics etc. Always something he wants me to read up on and try regardless what I tell him. When my phone rings and its him, I get so nervous. I am 81 years old.
You are in charge of who is in your life. You are an adult. You should tell this person to leave you alone. If they do not leave you alone after you tell them then you can contact the police about a stalking issue. You also might be able to block this person from calling you. Good Luck,

What he is wanting you to take is baking soda. You should ask your doctor whether that is going to have an adverse effect on you, or ANY effect, and listen to your doctor; not this individual. You should not take medical advice from someone who is not a doctor. Whether this is bullying or pushing is not the issue. It makes you uncomfortable and you have the right to ask that it stop. If it does not stop, then you have the right to take action on your own to try to block this contact.

It depends who this "individual" is. Is he your doctor? Is he a nurse? A neighbor? If it is your doctor, he may have your best interests in mind. You are an adult and can say no to anyone and in fact you can exclude them from your residence. It sounds to me like you could benefit from having a Power of Attorney in place in which you designate someone that you trust to watch out for you and make decisions for you in the event that you cannot. I suggest you speak with an elder law lawyer with whom you can share all of the facts that are not presented here. The advice would be worth the price of the consultation .
