Was messaged to try out a new game
Uploaded game created avatar and user name and password find out it's just a chat room for kids. Started to get messages from girls. Responded back. Started Chatting on instragram with one sent photo She sent hers. never asked to meet her never ask for naked photos never brought up sex to her. She brought sex up but didn't respond in a sexual matter. Finally she ask for texting on phone I agreed and text-ed her number which was listed on instragram then all of sudden I am text-ed by several numbers claiming to be family members. Got scared I went to police. Told them everything now gong over piece by piece it looks like a major scam. Now I am being investigated.
Without more information, it certainly seems you could be charged with possession and distribution of child pornography. These are serious charges and I strongly suggest you meet with a lawyer ASAP before doing or saying anything else.

Many charges can come most likely endangering 2C:24-4. Once you saw her picture what were you thinking. I would not speak to the police without attorney.

It depends on the girls age, what was said and what we're in the pictures. Many of these chat services like KIK have victims groups that work with the FBI and pose as children. You could face Luring, Endangering or Child Pornography charges. Speaking with the police without an attorney is very dangerous.
Please stop making confession to serious criminal acts on the phone and contact a lawyer. How you got into the room is irrelevant because once you knew you were there you did what you say you did and kept in contact with her. And others.
