I just turned 18 and am a senior in HS. Well I broke "curfew" and am now grounded. I can't go out wit my friends, go on the computer, or watch TV. This is ridiculous. I am a grown woman now. Grown people don't have "curfews" and get "grounded". Is this even legal?
You are not grown until you fully support yourself and live on your own. If your parents support you and you live in their home you must follow their rules.
There is nothing illegal about your being grounded. While the law says you have attained the age of majority, you are still living under your mother's roof and being supported by her. You are still in high school and incapable of supporting yourself. If you were mature enough to go out on your own, you would not have had a curfew and you would not have asked lawyers about this private family matter.
To rephrase your question,"house rules" are not illegal but part of the contract with your parents for them to continue supporting you now that you are legally responsible for supporting yourself. While perhaps not a written contract, abiding by (or suffering the consequences of) a contract is part of being an adult.
By the same argument, your mother is no longer obligated to allow you to reside in her home, eat her food, use her internet connection, washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, phone, etc. If you do not wish to be subject to these draconian rules, you will need to support yourself in your own home.
yes, it is legal.

grown women do not live with their parents and are supported by them. if you do not like the rules of the house, move out. get your own computer, tv, food, clothing, shelter, laundry facilities, etc. get all the things that grown people get for themselves.
but if you cannot, then you live with mom and dad., if you do, you are subject to their rules. if you do not like, the rules and if you cannot negotiate ones you like better, then move.
