Can i get any compensation for sickness, precaution step for flat.

My Company relocated me from Chennai, India to Bellevue, USA Office. They had a 3rd party to take care for all the relocation of my household item. My Stuff got packed in India in 1st week of Nov'15 while loaded in ship in mid of Jan'16. in mean while there was heavy rain and flood in Chennai. Now in 2nd week of march when my stuff got delivered then it had mold. They bring all stuff to my apartment and later when mold was found they took it back. In meanwhile i got exposed to mold and got allergic reaction which as per doc from which i will take 1-2 month to recover. I got insurance value of furniture. But am i eligible for any compensation because i got sick because of mold or not. How should i check that? Also my lease say if flat get mold then i will be fined, and now i am thing my flat is exposed too so it can get mold too. Who should pay for it or any precaution steps i take before it.
