You appear to have collected the other parties full BI limit. Your personal injury is for other people you injure, it's really called Bodily Injury Liability coverage. You needed UM or under insured coverage to make up any difference between the other guy's BI liability and your injury value. Go buy it for next time. Good luck.
IF this was a car wreck in AR, and if you have Underinsured coverage (UIM) on your car insurance policy that was in effect at the time of your wreck, you can file a claim or lawsuit against your insurance company if you provided a 30 day notice to your insurance carrier of your intent to settle with the person that caused your damages. There are many excellent attorneys in Texarkana that can help you if the attorney you used is unable to help you now.
You indicate that an attorney got a 1/3 cut, which seems to indicate that you hired an attorney and agreed to their contingency fee amount. In any event, if you had an attorney hired, go ask them. Bring your auto insurance policy that was in effect on the date of the accident with you, including the declarations page, and have him/her look at it and tell you whether any other coverage exists that you might go after.
