Where does my Delaware Corp need to file it's DBA in Delaware, California or Both?

Last year, I filed a Corp in Delaware. I now want to do business in California. Not under the DE Corp name, but under a new DBA name. I know I will need to file as a Foreign Corp in California BUT do I need to file the new DBA in California or Delaware or is there another/different action?

File for the fictitious business name (DBA) in the CA county where your principal place of business is located. Please see the post at the link below. Disclaimer: This post does not constitute legal advice and does not establish an attorney-client relationship.

You should file the DBA in the CA county where your DE corporation will be doing business under that name. If this is a brick and mortar business, then it's where the store or office is. If it's an online business, there may be several counties you should be filing a DBA in. Congratulations on moving your business into California - we're glad to have you. You will have to file your dba in the county or counties in which you'll be doing business. If your local business will be operated out of La Jolla, that will be San Diego County, but if you're opening several locations you may need multiple filings - check with a local business law attorney or with the website for the appropriate county administration.
