Can i sponser my wife for a visa
I have a permanent restraining order on me from a prior marriage. I have remarried and have never violated order. Can this stop me from sponsering my new wifes visa. The restraining order is making a threat

If a person is a US citizen they likely would be able to sponsor their spouse even with restraining order though it is likely that they should under go some counseling if needed, to prevent a reoccurrence of an abusive relationship.

There is nothing about the restraining order that prevents you from sponsoring a new spouse. Nonetheless, the process is complicated enough and you should work with a lawyer.
