When should I apply to adjust status from temporary to permanent resident

I got married to a US citizen in August of 2014 and got a temporary green card in February of 2015. I am still married and was wondering if I can apply now (since August 2016 was our second marriage anniversary). My temp green card expires in Feb of 2017 and I know I have to apply 3 months before it expires but was wondering if I can do it now rather than later as I may be posted out of the country by end of October. Any insight will be much appreciated. Kind regards

Your wedding anniversary has nothing to do with the date you file. You can apply 90 days and NOT SOONER before February of 2017 ... be sure you calculate the days correctly or CIS may reject your papers. Consider a Skype consultation with an attorney ... many people send in 'too little' documentation. For example, they forget to include a full 2 years of bank statements, more than just a few notarized affidavits, not enough tax returns, not enough credit card, insurance, rent, etc. Hopefully your being 'posted' out of country will not be for more than 90 days ... otherwise you could have problems. Then, you for-sure need to talk to an attorney via Skype right-away.
