with or without an attorney? With an attorney about two months after the claimant reaches MMI. Without one and dealing with Uhaul...........about forever. I hope you have an attorney. Uhaul is very difficult to deal with, mostly their answer is NO.

I agree with the prior answer. Without an attorney the insurance company will never take you seriously. Ever.

I am very sorry to hear about your situation. There are several factors that affect how fast a case can settle. And to answer your question is difficult with how little you have provided.I strongly recommend you talk to and meet with an experienced accident attorney in the central Florida area. The attorney should be able to discuss with you all of the potential options you have, so that you can make the best decisions possible. In order to find the best attorney for you, I strongly recommend that you review the profile, which will have reviews from actual clients of that attorney. You will also have reviews from other attorneys about the attorney you are considering for representation. The profile will have additional information and links to the attorney's website and email address. This is important because some attorneys will respond to questions sent by email from potential clients after normal business hours and on weekends. I hope this is helpful! The consultation should be free!!!

Please don't try to handle a case like this without an attorney. Talk with a lawyer.

Your best bet is to retain counsel here in Orlando to handle all steps from A to Z. Most counsel dont charge unless you win the case. Good luck.

This question is best answered by your attorney, who should be thoroughly familiar with the circumstances of the accident, your husband's injuries and the extent of your derivative claim as well as knowing the insurance adjuster on the opposing side. It will take your attorney some time to collect all of your husband's final bills and medical records. Once that is done, I suggest that you and your husband hold a face-to-face conference with your attorney to discuss case value and how to approach a settlement. If for some reason you do not have an attorney, you need to obtain one and not attempt to deal with the insurance carrier on your own.

This depends on when a settlement offer is made. If you are unrepresented by an attorney, it can be difficult to know what information should be given to the insurance adjuster and how much to ask for in damages. If you are unsure on how to proceed, I would recommend that you consult with an experienced Personal Injury Attorney.
