Hi, I am looking for an expert witness prior to mediation coming up in October with great credentials who specializes in calculating economic damages in a catastrophic personal injury case including past and future lost wages, and three upcoming surgeries.
I am now permanently disabled and will require special care and therapy for life. I am 51 and located in Chicago, IL.
Thank you

This is an issue for your lawyer to attend to. I hope your not attempting to do this without one. There are a lot of rules concerning expert testimony. The chances of a non-attorney turning an expert's opinion into admissible evidence is just about zero.
Take this up with your lawyer. If you don't have one, you need one.
If you have a lawyer, they should be hiring the expert for you. Call him or her to discuss it. If you do not have an attorney, hire one immediately. You should never represent yourself. Would you perform surgery on yourself? Of course not. You would hire a doctor. Representing yourself in an injury case is the exact same thing. Hire an experienced personal injury attorney to represent you.

There are several highly thought of economic damage experts, including Stan Smith. Most of the time, we lawyers use our network of friends and colleagues to bounce off ideas on who is a "good" expert for a particular case. We value each other's opinion, and use our positive and negative experiences to help others.
I can assume you have a lawyer if you have such a catastrophic case. If not, you absolutely should have one! Any significant case requires a lawyer if you want to be taken seriously and get maximum compensation.
