How do I file a claim for medical malpractice against a clinic in Canada?

I had a cosmetic procedure done in Toronto, Canada. There were no prior warnings about the possibility of increased back pain as a side effect to the procedure. Since the procedure, I have had debilitating back pain. I cannot perform normal functions-- sitting for more than 5 minutes becomes very uncomfortable and I have to lay down.

You will need to contact a Canadian personal injury attorney. Canadian law differs significantly from American law. You should obtain needed medical care and treatment immediately and follow the doctor's advice. Do not give any statements to the adverse party or insurance company nor grant them access to any medical records. Photograph the injuries and the damage done to any property. Contact a personal injury attorney in Canada as soon as possible so that you can protect your rights. You may also find it helpful to review the Legal Guides I have published on .com dealing with many of the issues you are now facing. You can access my Legal Guides through my profile page on . Keep in mind that some of the elements of damages described in my Guides may not be applicable in Canada.
