Late filing of I-751, removal of conditional residency

Due to financial difficulties and having a baby, we are filing my I-751 about a week late. We have a trip planned in less than a month to go back to England to see my family and have return tickets to come back in January. From what I understand, since I have an expired green card I may not be allowed to travel/re-enter the US. Please help me! Is there any way I can still visit family?

you may travel with the I-751 receipt notice. but in this case i would take the receipt notice to the local USCIS district office and obtain an I-551 stamp.

Obtain an advance parole document in addition to the receipt of I-751. Get representation.
