Will I get mistaken for another person while going through the n-400 process. If so what can I do to prevent or handle this.

A person lives near me with the exact same name. He is apparently also a permanent resident. Will I get mistaken for him because we share same names and live near ea other? When I applied for green card renewal they told me I already had a green card and I had to explain to them that it was a different person. Getting the n-400 is a very long process, it is horrifying thinking that they will mistake me again. They can't be that incompetent can they?

Your biometrics and identification should reflect that you and your close neighbor are not the same person.
