You should seek the services of an attorney because there are a lot of issues in your question. If your child is not attending college maybe there is an issue of emancipating the minor and child support obligations can be contested. How old is your child? How long is she/he taking off from school? Who is paying child support etc. You will have to file a motion if you want to modify the child support. Unless the order has such a provision for a return to the prior level of child support, then the answer generally will be no. You need to first inform the other party of the hiatus and a request for resumption of the prior level of child support and then if no cooperation is forthcoming file in court.
